The Santa Clara County Housing Authority proudly announces the purchase of Rincón de los Esteros Family Apartments, a 246-unit multi-family property located at 1780 Oakland Rd, San Jose, CA 95131, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s broader strategy to expand its portfolio of affordable housing options and ensure the long-term sustainability of affordable housing for Santa Clara County. The Santa Clara County Housing Authority received the largest funding award through the MORE Program of all 25 projects throughout the state for Buena Vista Mobile Home Park in the City of Palo Alto, totaling $24,595,646. The Housing Authority previously received a grant of $5 million from the State of California’s CalHome program which enables low- and very low-income households to become or remain homeowners.

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority is pleased to announce a significant milestone in its efforts to preserve and improve the Buena Vista Mobile Home Park, in Palo Alto, CA. The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) issued the first-ever round of awards from a pioneering state program, called the Manufactured Housing Opportunity & Revitalization Program (MORE), which is designed to improve health and safety conditions at mobile homes parks across California. The Santa Clara County Housing Authority received the largest funding award through the MORE Program of all 25 projects throughout the state for Buena Vista Mobile Home Park in the City of Palo Alto, totaling $24,595,646. Santa Clara County Housing Authority awarded $25 Million in competitive Low-Income Housing Tax Credits

Today, The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee announced that Santa Clara County Housing Authority would receive a highly competitive Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) award for $25 million for an 89-unit senior housing development in San Jose called Alvarado Park. The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee approved 27 projects that will produce 1,388 housing units throughout the state. "We are thrilled to move this housing community forward, Alvarado Park will provide seniors with quality affordable housing that allows them to age in place. These highly competitive resources awarded at the state level are critical in leveraging local partnerships including funding from Measure A. Together, we are working to address the affordable housing shortage in Santa Clara County," said Preston Prince, Executive Director at Santa Clara County Housing Authority.
